Woman Falls While Being Proposed To On Ice Skating Rink, Becomes Internet Celebrity

Marriage is a lifelong commitment, and life is never going to be 100 percent blissful romance all the time. Being married is all about taking the good with the bad, and sticking together for better or for worse. It’s all right there in the vows, people. A woman recently got a taste of what married life would be like, all within the very brief time span of her proposal. She felt the full spectrum of love: Early giddy excitement, a bump in the road that made her falter, but then recovery and a new, higher plane of acceptance, resilience, and closeness.

How did she get to do all that? Well, the groom-to-be proposed during an objectively romantic Christmas season ice skating date at the legendary Rockefeller Center in New York. In the midst of it, she fell down…and hard. But then she got back up on her feet, and was all smiles because she was in love, and is getting married, and nothing could spoil the moment for her.

We only know about this because there’s a video. It wasn’t taken by anyone associated with the couple, but a random bystander who put this private, sort-of-embarrassing moment up online for any and all to enjoy. (And to whoever the engaged couple is, congratulations!)

Social media is finding the whole situation quite charming and amusing.
