A new story has gone viral on the interwebs. This past weekend, a 22-year-old woman bought an ice cream for a little girl who was crying. She then posted about the deed on Twitter, and received a boatload of backlash.
The woman, who is a self-described “vegan blogger”, was called out by a Twitter user named Anthony Dagher. Dagher accused the woman of “harming and killing non-human babies” by buying the child a dairy-based product.
She Was Criticized by a Self-Described ‘Spiritual but Non-Religious Vegan’
A section of Dagher’s tweet reads, “I usually do not do this, but I feel like this is appropriate to post since this person is claiming to be a vegan even though she admitted to buying non-vegan ice cream for someone else, defended what she did when I spoke with her privately (hoping that would make her less likely to be defensive.” Towards the end of the post, he writes, “I do not want her to be attacked. I just want her to see she was wrong, which I hope enough vegans talking with her will accomplish.”

Dagher describes himself on Twitter as a “spiritual but completely non-religious vegan.”
In response to his statements, the woman took to Twitter to write, “The fact that I’m having my vegan lifestyle questioned for buying food for ONE person is hilarious. My fridge is full of vegan food, my make up & bath products are all vegan, I don’t wear fur or leather & I help others learn about veganism. But you want me out the club for this?”
