In case you live under a rock and you missed the latest news to come out of the Internet and angry housewives, Blake Shelton was named “People’s Sexiest Man Alive” this year and – no one is happy. Well, maybe Gwen Stefani is happy because she’s now dating the “sexiest man alive,” but, as for everyone else – not so much. After People announced the nomination (is that what it’s even called?) people took to Twitter to address their distaste for the winner.

Not tryna be rude, but Blake Shelton is not the sexiest man alive 👀 I mean he is a man that's alive. Those parts are true. But sexiest?! NO….not even like, sexy. I feel bad now. pic.twitter.com/N3kWQpaeq8

Blake Shelton is People’s Sexiest Man Alive because apparently Idris Elba, Chris Evans and Jason Momoa fell off the planet last night.

Personally, I think Blake Shelton is mildly attractive – mildly. But sexiest man alive? Nope, not even close. There are probably 57 men and 35 inanimate objects I could name who should have been named this honorary title over Shelton – but, for the sake of saving time, I won’t bore you.
I wasn’t the only person who had something to say about his nomination, either. In fact, Ryan Reynolds decided to stir the pot on Twitter and bring up another sexy celebrity who should have been given the cover this year – and, that celeb is Sir Patrick Stewart.
