If you’ve seen I, Tonya, then you were probably predicting an Oscar nod for lead actress, Margot Robbie, regardless of your opinions about the movie as a whole. Robbie’s portrayal of Tonya Harding is fierce, unflinching, and manages to be refreshingly original while still paying appropriate homage to the infamous Olympic figure skater.
Fortunately, it seems that the Academy agrees: this morning, it was announced that Robbie had earned a spot among this year’s five Oscar nominees for Best Actress.

While it’s difficult to fathom what being nominated for your first Academy Award feels like, it’s easy enough to guess (my money is on a mixture of shock, joy, delirium, and awe).
Margot apparently decided to celebrate by painting the town red alongside friends and her brother, Cameron, who managed to capture some video of Margot’s elated moment.
