I know some girls think it’s cute or funny to be bad at things. Oh you don’t know the way around your own home town? Oh you scream or cover your head if a basketball or frisbee comes anywhere near you? You pride yourself on not knowing basic home repair?
For me the best thing in a woman is actually being a functioning person in her own right. Dating one of those “always helpless” girls gets old quite quickly.
Being a good buddy first and foremost:
I’m not sure if I could say any particular personality trait but I’d say if she could be one of “the boys” my heart will skip a beat :P, what I mean is when I can chill with a girl and it feels like I’m just being with one of my close friends. After all I’m not REALLY looking for a “girlfriend” in the sense that she has to be a traditional “girlfriend” I just want someone that I can love, someone I can hug when I’m sad but also be the shoulder they need to cry on sometimes, I want them to be my support but I want to be their foundation, I don’t know if everyone can catch my feel but I just want a bestfriend first out of my girlfriend before a “girlfriend”. Sex and all that other jazz isn’t as important as my compatibility for the person.
Fortitude and ingenuity:
I’ve dated clingy women who have their lives in disarray. They depended on me to help them sort out their baggage. At first that made me feel useful but later that became a burden. The aforementioned qualities of fortitude and ingenuity were what I feel they lacked. When faced with adversity they’d crack instead of persevere. They couldn’t make use of the resources they had available, they needed me to show them how. I ended those relationships because that’s just not healthy. I felt used and unappreciated, she felt happy when I was available to cater to her but anxious when I wasn’t. The relationship didn’t have stability or balance.
I want a woman who don’t need no man.
