Well, that could certainly be a difficult situation, both because of what Pence’s dear and glorious leader Donald Trump has said to and about Kim Yo Yang’s brother, and because reactions are strained between North Korea and the U.S. Also, Mike Pence just always seems to be awkward. (They reportedly didn’t even speak to each other.)
Vice President Mike Pence is sitting only a few feet away from Kim Yo Jong, who is the very powerful sister of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un during the winter Olympics #OpeningCeremony in South Korea. The two don't appear to have spoken to each other. pic.twitter.com/ZyZwFYou1W

Can someone say awkward? This is how close U.S. Vice President Mike Pence was to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s sister, Kim Yo Jong. Just one row and four seats separating them. pic.twitter.com/BvQLnFoYcf

This was taken as Team USA walked into the arena. I saw a cheeky glance from Kim Yo-Jung towards Mike Pence. There was no interaction between the two all evening. (Photo from Blue House footage) pic.twitter.com/RZuqttYyY5
