When I was younger, I was obsessed with “Animal Crossing.” I had gotten a Gamecube for the holidays one year and my mother got me one game to go along with it. I would run home from school every day and immediately turn on the game to check on my weird-looking animal character and plant some apple trees and dig for hidden money. If you’ve ever played the game before, you’d know that you have to always check in on your animal and your town – if you want to play the game the right way that is. Fast forward to 2017 where Gamecubes are basically obsolete (for real, I could barely get $20 to trade mine in), the company who created Animal Crossing finally released an app version of the hit video game.
Now, if you are new to Animal Crossing, the game may seem super cool. But, if you’re a veteran of the game, it’s just not the same. Chrissy Teigen knows exactly what I’m talking about. She issued a series of tweets about the “new” game.
pocket animal crossing might be okay for you AC newbies but for us tom nook loyalists it is merely a hit of the crack that is actual, real, animal crossing. It lacks the heart. The soul. It's a sandwich with no meat. A car without tires.

These pocket animal crossing animal people things. They aren't our friends. They're jerks. Who makes certain couch demands before visiting someone's house? Then shows a video montage of them sleeping on it. I hate these people

That said, I have spent $120 dollars on leaf tickets

I'm actually getting angrier about this as I type it. What kind of crap is this teaching us? I need a hammock to have friends? Fruit will grow faster if I throw money at it? I'm deleting this

Preach, Chrissy. This app is nothing like the original game. There was nothing more calming and peaceful than playing Animal Crossing and living your animal life. Now, the game has turned into something that’s much like a bad joke. Twitter users happen to agree with her.
