People on Twitter couldn’t believe it…except that they could, because the world still has a long, long way to go.
@skhndh thank you for calling them out and walking away. You have done more for the community by walking away than by being in that gayforsaken shoot. No one. NO ONE, should be given the right to tell us how to dress.

Absolutely. Use your discretion & judgement before you engage with the media. Deep dive with those you are confident will do a sensitive job of covering LGBTQ issues. Call out the insensitive lot like you just did. But also initiate a discussion with those who are ignorant.

The problem is the fact that people still expect 🏳️🌈members to be “different” from their str8 counterparts using dated cliches & stereotypes. Then again, a 🌈 is obviously superior to a dark grey ☁️ of heteronormativity. Guess str8 peeps can’t handle n start h8ing

Absolutely despicable behaviour from @bombaytimes. Thanks, @skhndh for bringing this to light. https://t.co/9Bc9qmcBMX

You did the right thing by walking out & tweeting this.

More power to you and LGBT community ✊ Glad that you all took a collective stand. I would've added shame on you @bombaytimes but I'm not surprised anymore. They clearly have no scruples and nothing is beneath them at the altar of advtg moolah.

I’m glad you all walked out! Our community has been shamed enough, we don’t need sensationalism parading as journalism to insult us some more. ✊🏽
