Facing the threat of boycott led by the organization Kids with Food Allergies, Peter Rabbit studio Sony Pictures and the movie’s filmmakers released an apology.
Food allergies are a serious issue. Our film should not have made light of Peter Rabbit’s archnemesis, Mr. McGregor, being allergic to blackberries, even in a cartoonish, slapstick way.
We sincerely regret not being more aware and sensitive to this issue, and we truly apologize.
That will probably quell the outrage, but people on Twitter are still talking about the surprisingly shocking scene.
instead of boycotting peter rabbit over the allergy scene , why don’t y’all use this as a teachable moment for young children and show them the seriousness of an reaction instead of , using social media and movies as a way to raise your child . educate your children yourself .

As a father I will be boycotting the Peter Rabbit film so that my children are not encouraged to bully people with allergies, or to be anthropomorphic rabbits.

I saw the trailer for this and it was like four minutes of a man electrocuting a rabbit and choking it, and then the rabbit like using a drill on his testicles, so yeah I could see this happening. https://t.co/dWXg2dbW10
