Any powerful female knows that the film “Legally Blonde” played somewhat of an iconic role in our lives growing up.
No matter what profession you ended up in–watching a woman defy the odds and exceed everyone’s expectations in law school, graduate at the top of her class, and stick it to everyone who ever doubted her was an inspiration to us all. While Reese Witherspoon–aka Elle Woods herself–has been pretty busy with HBO’s “Big Little Lies,” it turns out that she’s not too busy to give us what we’ve all been waiting for.
According to Deadline, MGM (the studio behind Legally Blonde and Legally Blonde 2) have already brought on a creative team to bring back the iconic film franchize–including the original screenwriters and producer. As well, Witherspoon is reportedly working out a deal with the studio to return as Elle Woods.
Ever since the news broke online, fans have been freaking out–it has been 17 years since the original movie came out and the world could use a little more Elle Woods nowadays.
