The Korean Central News Agency is run by the North Korean government. That means they publish a fair amount of photos that make glorious leader Kim Jong Un and his secretive, isolated government look like it’s the greatest and most powerful in the world.
This week, the KCNA tried to demonstrate once again that everything is fine and dandy in North Korea with a picture of Kim smiling in front of a massive stock of potatoes inside of a Pyongyang potato flour processing plant. (Not so fun fact: 20 percent of North Koreans are starving.)
A Redditor named MILEK12 noticed it and shared it, and many skilled Photoshop artists couldn’t help but come together to make fun of Kim and alter and exploit the photo for its full comic potential. (It’s something people like to do whenever the KCNA releases an especially silly-looking Kim pic.)
