If you’ve been looking for a clever WiFi network name, then look no further. Twitter recently helped one user generate some pretty ridiculous and delightful WiFi names — and yes, there were lots of puns.
It all started when BroadwayWorld.com editor Alan Henry asked his followers to help him choose a WiFi name for his new apartment.
Hey Twitter! I’m getting internet in my new apartment on Monday so I need a new WiFi name! Last time y’all came up with ‘Carrying The Bandwidth’ – I’m thinking it’s time to change it up to something other than Newsies.

Obviously, there are a lot of possibilities when it comes to choosing a WiFi name — so the responses totally ran the gamut.
Some people thought the most obvious and direct approach was best.

But, then again, there’s certainly nothing wrong with naming your WiFi network after something you love.

It’s the prime opportunity to slip in a secret message.
Spot the wifi name that made me nervous. HOW DARE YOU TOY WITH MY EMOTIONS?!

A reference to your fave TV show is almost never a bad choice, either.
Did I just name my wifi networks “The Good Place” and “The Bad Place?”
Yup.
I did.

A WiFi network can be the perfect medium through which to send a not-so-subtle message to your neighbors.

Usually, though, it’s just a great excuse to come up with a corny pun.

But, whatever you do, don’t get fed up and let someone else choose your WiFi name — you may be sorry you did.
In other news, I couldn’t come up with a WiFi name on the spot so I just told the internet guy that he could choose one for me. Take a wild guess which one is mine…. pic.twitter.com/EypO5XxfsF

It’s unclear which name Alan ended up going with, but I think we can agree that he was definitely given some pretty great (if unbelievably corny) options.
