Californians Freak Out Over UFO Sighting—And Then Found Out It Wasn’t A UFO At All

We’ve all heard of the tall tales about “UFOs.” Whether it be from TV shows, movies, or everyday people who believe in aliens, UFOs are usually the topic of conversation when talking about “things that probably don’t exist.” While we’re unsure if there is any life on other planets, I’m pretty sure if there was, they don’t want to come down to Earth right now anyway. Seeing as our planet is rapidly dying and everyone wants to ignore it, they’re better off staying wherever they are now. But, on Friday, residents of California were a bit confused with something they saw in the sky.

It turns out, everyone in California can relax just a bit because it wasn’t a UFO at all. Instead, the “UFO” was a rocket launch. It was specifically the SpaceX launch of the Flacon 9 rocket from the Vandenberg Air Force Base in Santa Barbara County.
