Someone Made A Bot That Generates Fake Fanta Flavors — And The Results Are Delicious

Everyone has their favorite Fanta flavor — but a new Twitter bot is popularizing a whole new range of hilarious and bizarre hypothetical flavors for the classic fruit sodas.

Laura González, a front-end developer in London, recently created a Twitter bot to generate fake Fanta flavors, and the results are endlessly entertaining.

González told AList Daily that the project was inspired by a “particularly foul tasting” can of orange-flavored Fanta Zero, which apparently also contained carrot and pumpkin flavors. So, she decided to create the “Fun Fearless Fake Fanta” bot, which incorporates adjectives and emoji to create impressively original hypothetical flavors.

“I like to think of online brands as characters or celebrities in a way,” González tells AListDaily. “At the end of the day, they are a character with a voice and a personality.”

The list of mock-up Fanta flavors includes such classics as “Noisy Eggplant” and “Communist Blowfish.”

The Fun Fearless Fake Fanta account was created in May and already has 2,600 followers — so, people are clearly fans of the unusual project.

“I just sort of expect to wake up tomorrow and have a takedown request from Coca-Cola, if I’m being honest,” González says. “But I would expect a ‘funnier’ online brand like Wendy’s, after the nugget thing, to play along.”

Hopefully, Coca-Cola will be cool about the Twitter bot — because the latest flavor to pop up was “Helpful Bikini,” and I think I speak for everyone when I say that we all deserve more of this delightful randomness in our daily lives.
