Billie Lourd Pays Tribute To Carrie Fisher And Debbie Reynolds On Instagram—And Now We’re Crying

Wednesday, December 27th marked the one year anniversary of our beloved Carrie Fisher’s death. While losing someone close to you is never easy, the universe (and the galaxy) felt a huge hole in our souls when Fisher left us a year ago. She was loved by so many fans and followers for decades, that although many have never known her personally, it felt as though we lost a family member. Not long after Fisher left us, her mother, Debbie Reynolds, also passed away. For any fans of this family, it’s heartbreaking. But, for members of this family, like Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd, it’s truly devastating. For the past year, Lourd has paid tribute to both her mother and grandmother on social media quite frequently. She posts photos from her childhood with both talented ladies and always receives kind, warm words from fans whenever she does.

For any Star Wars fan, seeing the recent film “The Last Jedi” was truly moving and emotional, as it was Carrie Fisher’s last Star Wars film before she passed. As well, Billie Lourd was in the movie alongside her mother for her last film–there’s nothing more touching than that.

Her daughter, of course, attended the premiere in honor of her mother, and she sported a pretty amazing hairstyle to pay tribute.

But, on the anniversary of Carrie Fisher’s death, Lourd posted a beautiful and tear-worthy tribute to her late mother.
