Daisy Ridley Reveals What Her Dream Lightsaber Would Be—And It’s Decidedly Un-Rey-Like

Diehard Star Wars fans are going to hate this. Daisy Ridley, best known as Rey in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, recently sat down with Elle UK to answer some questions while attempting to build a Millennium Falcon out of Legos.

When asked what her dream lightsaber would be, Ridley responded with “pink and glittery.” She also revealed she has not been able to change her dad’s mind and that “he is very much still a Star Trek fan.”

Other takeaways:

She felt much more nervous filming the second film (The Last Jedi) because she felt “more responsibility and more personal pressure because I knew what people had taken from it.”

She doesn’t have a problem asserting herself but sometimes feels as though she doesn’t have a right to an opinion. She still however feels it is important because of the impact Rey’s character had on young women as well as for women in film generally.

She does not wear socks in bed because “it’s very important to let your feet breathe.”

She’s “a big crier” and when asked about the last time she cried she sait it was just “the other day.” (!SAME!)

Her favorite item in her wardrobe is a faux fur blue jacket she has “that makes me look like Sully from Monsters Inc. I call it my pimp jacket.”

She’s “sorta just become a che-gan” which is basically a cheating vegan. She said she’s cut out a lot of things like meat and dairy and eggs, but sometimes eats fish “because my moral compass is off.”

Her worst ever haircut was when he dad cut off her hair when she was 7.

Her biggest fangirl moment was seeing Celine Dion walk into the Met Ball.

Oh, and, she built this Lego Millennium Falcon in just 5 minutes, all by herself (?)
