Avengers: Infinity War has been called “the most ambitious crossover event in history” and it might be true. The entire Marvel Cinematic Universe (minus Ant-Man, unless he was so small we missed him) came together for one epic cinematic battle against Thanos. With characters from eight franchises (fine, nine if you count the Ed Norton Hulk movie) it’s easy to lose track of the names, especially if you’ve only seen a couple. One woman made an admirable attempt to keep track of all the comic book characters and Twitter is wheezing with delight.
Twitter user Gabrielle Regan-Waters asked her wife to name the characters in Infinity War and the names she came up with miiiiiiight be even better than their real ones:
Asked my wife, who’s only seen two films in the MCU (Captain America 1 and Thor 2), to name #InfinityWar characters. It went about as well as we expected. pic.twitter.com/ICK8n8geFC

Here are her best guesses for the stars of this sprawling cinematic slugfest:
Troot! Snail Girl! And who could forget the noble War Maiden family?? Honestly, the best part might be the fact that she labeled Thanos as “Hulk” at first.
Twitter couldn’t help but cackle at her hilarious descriptions of some of Earth’s mightiest heroes:

Made my night. I do this with my mom. I once spent an afternoon explaining to her why Captain America can’t fly even though Superman can.

Others fully supported her choices, because there ARE a ton of characters to keep track of:
I mean, on some of these she’s really not wrong

I can’t remember snail girl’s name either, I ended up calling her Cricket to my nephew one day — he was so horrified that now I only remember her as Cricket. ??♀️

I am just laughing at Robin as I joke about that character’s actually Robin but is secretly working for S.H.E.I.L.D. ?

James Gunn, director of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise (arguably one of the MCU’s goofiest) was definitely here for it:

And Regan-Waters was happy to make her wife Twitter famous after her post blew up:
This blew up! My wife, the visionary, is @LGBTOwlMom78. I’m just a messenger. ?
