It’s Unclear How ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Will Affect Marvel’s Netflix Shows–But Twitter Is Placing Their Bets

The first official trailer for Avengers: Infinity War finally debuted this week. It’s what so much of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been building up to for a better part of the decade — all out war for the fate of existence as we know it, threatened by the villainous, power-mad Thanos.

It’s definitely going to be one of the biggest showdowns in cinema history and filmed superhero entertainment history, bringing together characters like the Avengers (obviously), as well as heroes from other MCU properties, like Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

But there also Marvel’s many TV and streaming characters. There are so many powerful, helpful heroes on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Runaways, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage that could certainly contribute to the good fight. The very notion has got fans’ minds racing.

One possibility: the War rages on Marvel’s Netflix shows.

Y’know, I wonder how #InfinityWar will affect the Netflix shows. It would be amazing if those shows had side stories to it or something.

It might give a clue into what happens next on Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.

How will #InfinityWar factor into the #Marvel #Netflix dramas? Does the 2nd season of @JessicaJones take place before or after the battle? What about @LukeCage? He joins the #Avengers in the comics, man.

Because really, what are they gonna do, not mention the biggest thing to happen in the superhero community?

The events of Infinity War better trickel down to the Netflix series. No way they’re all just gonna ignore it

Or maybe it’s nothing to get excited about at all.

Anybody wanna take an over/under on whether we see a pop-up cameo from one of the Netflix MCU heroes in “Infinity War?” Like, drive-by shot of Matt Murdock in the background?

All (or some) will be revealed when Infinity War hits theaters in…May?! Ugh, that’s like forever from now.
