Visualizing the President’s sexual encounters certainly isn’t for the faint of heart, and this news cycle may very well test us all.
This week, an explosive Wall Street Journal article reported that one of Donald Trump’s lawyers paid adult film star Stormy Daniels (née Stephanie Clifford) $130,000 to keep quiet about her 2006 affair with the then-future-president. Details about the former relationship are subsequently resurfacing, including an interview Daniels gave to InTouch in 2011 about the pair’s initial sexual encounter.
Daniels’ interview was corroborated with two sources at the time, and InTouch actually had the actress take a polygraph test to verify her account. According to Daniels, she first met Trump during the July 2006 American Century celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe.
“[Trump] was introduced to everybody. He kept looking at me and then we ended up riding to another hole on the same golf cart together,” Daniels told InTouch. Trump eventually approached Daniels and asked for her number, which she gave him. “Then he asked me if I wanted to have dinner that night. And I was like, ‘Yeah, of course!'”
When Daniels arrived at his hotel suite that evening, Trump was apparently sprawled out on the couch in pajama pants, watching TV. “We ended up having dinner in the room,” she says. After dinner, Daniels excused herself to go to the restroom. “When I came out, he was sitting on the bed and he was like, ‘Come here,'” she describes. “And I was like, ‘Ugh, here we go.’ And we started kissing.”
