Mine wasn’t an ex-boyfriend, but an ex-roommate. It was our freshman year in college and she managed to turn our entire friend group against me. I switched to a single room so I could get away from her, and when I moved out, I took everything I had brought. This included my Roku box that she watched all her Netflix and Hulu on, the rug that covered our entire floor, and all the silverware we had in our room.
The pettiest things weren’t even intentional, but apparently I took her Hulu access right before the finale of her favorite show. Bonus.

After I moved out, I realized there were a few things I had left at the house. So my lawyer asked his if I could arrange a time to pick up any remaining items of mine- my speakers, picnic set and anything else. He responded that he didn’t know where they were and he probably thew them away. Ok fine, they were expensive.
A few weeks later, I pick my son up at his moms lake house and she invited in while kiddo got ready. Sitting on the counter? My picnic set.
Next weekend I was able to go through our old house – which was filthy – and get all my stuff back.

My ex and I broke up while I was binge watching the last season of Breaking Bad, which he knew I was doing. After trying to contact me for a few days and me not responding, I got locked out of Netflix. I then get a text shortly after from him saying that he “forgot the password and had to change it.” He said if I still wanted to use it, I just had to let him know and he’d give me the password. I got my own account that day.

Oh I got another one. I was dating this girl and things were great until we got into a playful argument over a cartoon frog and it somehow escalated to her being mad as hell. The next day I was super busy with work and when I got home I saw that her status changed to dating some guy her brother was friends with. I talked to her about it, thinking it was a joke, and she told me “oh, I thought we were breaking up”. They broke up two days later but ah yea haven’t even bothered speaking to her after that.

Made his anniversary date with his new girlfriend on FB the same as my anniversary with my (now) husband.

He cheated on me, yelled at me about how I was crazy for finding out, then broke up with me. Then when I wasn’t responding to his texts, calls, and had deleted him from all social media, he begged to take me out-his treat-because he ‘realized what he’d lost’. I reluctantly agreed. Then when we got to the bar for drinks, he ordered several doubles and shots. He then went out for a cigarette and just got in his car and left me there. Not so much petty as much as he was just a massive prick.

A few days after we broke up, he came by my apartment to drop off some things I left at his place. Instead of meeting me in the lobby, he left my stuff in a box by the security door. On top was his copy of my grandmother’s funeral program.

I broke up with my ex finally after several years of being in a shitty situation. After moving out what I thought was completely, he sent me several messages about these new shoes I needed to see because they were “fire”. Sure as the world I had forgotten my box of shoes, and he set fire to all of them. Then sent pictures of each individual pair while they were burning.

I sent a glitter bomb to his office. He’s an attorney and I knew he’d be in a suit and have court. Apparently glitter went everywhere, he went to court sparkling and spent days cleaning it up!

He dated my sister a week after he broke up with him to get back at me and they actually ended up getting married, you can say the family is pretty divided.
