Meghan Markle Just Had Her Wax Likeness Unveiled, And It’s Surprisingly Not That Creepy

Not all wax figures are, well, perfect. Some— many, in fact— bare a creepy resemblance to the person they were created in honor of. Just days before her wedding, Meghan Markle’s wax figure was unveiled at Madame Tussauds in London. Lucky for her, the waxwork not only looks like her, but it isn’t a scary sight.

The figure has been placed next to Harry’s, whose was created in 2014 to celebrate his 30th birthday. According to Mashable, the outfit Meghan’s wax figure is wearing is the same one she wore back in November 2017, when their engagement was announced.

It seems Madame Tussauds had a feeling this piece of art was going to be a hit. On Wednesday, they took to Twitter to write, “OMG the day has come! We’re SO excited to announce that Meghan Markle will be joining Prince Harry at #MadameTussaudsLondon on the 19th of May! Who’s ready to hang with the royal couple?”

The Wax Figure Is Wearing a Replica of Markle’s Engagement Ring

Scrupulous fans may notice that Markle’s wax twin is wearing a replica of the ring that Harry proposed with. According to Marie Claire, Harry designed the three-diamond engagement ring, himself.

The central diamond is from Botswana, where the two have visited together. The two diamonds on either side belonged to the late Princess Diana’s personal collection. The band holding the jewels together was made by Cleave and company.
