Online shopping can be a hit or a miss for most people. There’s always the possibility that you’ll end up with a sweater the size of a kaftan or a dress that’s tighter than a stack of rubber bands.
However, there’s also the possibility that you’ll receive the wrong order completely, which adds an extra layer of suspense. That’s what happened to David Evans, a UK-based TV and radio personality who recently went through a pretty bizarre problem with online shop ASOS.
Evans innocently ordered a pair of ASOS pants and sunglasses from their website. Pretty simple, right?
Welp, that’s not what Evans received. He unwrapped a beautiful, flowy red dress instead. But, rather than sending an email over to ASOS saying “Um, this isn’t my order,” he decided to make the best of it — and wear the dress himself.
(Honestly, I think he has the perfect body type for this dress, and he’s rockin’ it.)
Evans then tweeted the images side-by-side, calling out the shop and saying that he was “pretty sure” they sent him the wrong order.
Ayy @ASOS (I might be wrong) but, I’m pretty sure you’ve sent me the wrong order… pic.twitter.com/mFRTi3yg6T

To their credit, the company replied rather quickly.
Ayy Mr Dylan, you are definitely rocking that dress! Please send over your 9 digit order number and your ASOS registered email address in a DM and we can organise a cheeky swap to happen ?

However, Twitter was 100% on board with this delightful accident.
Looks good. Should have took the Christmas socks off though

I think, ASOS should let him keep the dress, send out the shades, then get Dylan to post another pic with the dress and shades. No one else want’s that dress now ???

And that, friends, is how you take fashion lemons and make some runway-ready lemonade.
