Sure, lots of people miss President Obama, a competent, even-keeled, generous, and sensitive leader, even in troubled times. (The guy who replaced him is…not like that, to say the least.) calling other countries sh*tholes, threatening to nuke other countries on Twitter, and whatever other awful thing he did today while this article was being written.)
The First Lady, generally immune to politics, is a different story. The public seems okay with Melania Trump, despite the fact that she very rarely appears in public, either with or without the president. Maybe she doesn’t like her husband, or maybe she feels the enormous pressure of being First Lady…because the First Lady she succeeded is one of the most beloved presidential spouses, if not Americans, of all time: Michelle Obama.
We love us some Michelle Obama, and we love us some Michelle Obama news. The story begins with a nine-year-old third-grader from Whittier, California, named Alexandra. For a school project, Alexandra delivered a presentation on Michelle Obama, and rounded out the project by going to school dressed like the former First Lady.
Today my 9 year old was @MichelleObama for her 3rd grade Open House project. She was inspired by her work to make sure more kids go to college & #ReachHigher . She loves that Mrs Obama is brown & has hair like hers #ISawMyself pic.twitter.com/RYmWumAdHM

She also had to deliver a simple speech (the text of which her mom shared on Twitter) breaking down just a few of the reasons why Michelle Obama is awesome.
Here's the text of Alexandra's speech as @MichelleObama which she's now given over 50 times!!! @ReachHigher @BetterMakeRoom @ObamaFoundation #wegohigh pic.twitter.com/IzyU60bC3L
