Megyn Kelly Says ‘Some Women Want to Be Fat-Shamed’ Because ‘It Works!’

Last Thursday morning, Megyn Kelly revealed a distinctly Megyn Kelly dieting tip: fat shaming. The host argued for this tactic during a conversation with mommy/fitness blogger Maria Kang, who drew online ire in 2013 when she posted a toned photo of herself with her three young sons on Facebook and captioned it “What’s your excuse?”

Kelly recounted how while studying at Albany Law School in the 1990s, she had her stepfather fat-shame her whenever she wanted to eat. “When I was in law school, I was gaining weight, I said to my stepfather, ‘If you see me going into that kitchen one more time, you say, ‘Where you going, fat ass?’ And it works!” she explained.

To each their own and everything, but maybe not advice you ought to be promoting on a TV show. Twitter went off.
