Australian artist Wonsun Jin (alias: Small World) has captured the hearts of comic illustrators and LGBTQ communities worldwide. His characters Robin and Julien— though fictional—leap off the page and share an intimate relationship relatable to all, regardless of sexual orientation.
Part of the appeal comes from the characters’ opposing qualities. Robin is a pink-haired 17-year-old who enjoys pizza and video games, whereas Julien is a blue-haired, spontaneous 19-year-old who likes sports and working out. They’re opposites, but it works!
