Numerous celebrities took to Instagram to share a message to Ivanka, urging her to advocate for the CLEAN Dream Act. The act is in response to Donald Trumps’ decision to end Obama’s DACA policy, which issued protection to undocumented immigrants who arrived in America as young children. It’s unfair to punish these people, as they were brought into America so young and have lived their entire lives here, contributing to the country and building a life for themselves to continue to help it thrive. Not to mention, they were brought to America as children by their family and/or parents and had absolutely no say in the matter. The CLEAN Dream Act would issue the same/similar protections to those who were protected under DACA.
I think it’s incredibly inspiring and resilient to see celebrities taking a stand for what they feel is right. Ivanka has yet to respond to any of the posts, but, I’m thinking she had to see at least one (or all of them), as she’s a frequent Instagram user.
