Kim Kardashian recently dropped some hints and images for her brand new fragrance being introduced for her Kim Kardashian West beauty line. Among the “hints” were a lot of nudity–which is not rare for the mother of three.
The reality TV star began posting photos of her naked body on social media.
And, revealed she used a complete body mold in order to create her fragrance bottles.
While the bottle is an exact mold of her body, some users on Twitter are saying that Kim ripped off the idea to make a “body mold bottle” from another designer and fragrance by Jean Paul Gaultier.
Same old attention seeking tactics from Kim Kardashian ????????♀️
And this is the reason why Jean Paul Gaultier’s iconic perfume is called Classique. #nothingbeatstheoriginal pic.twitter.com/lSd07aB5wn

Well done to @KimKardashian for making her perfume bottle in the shape of her body. Just the 15 years behind Jean Paul Gaultier ????????

Kim Kardashian’s new perfume bottle looks like Jean Paul Gaultier’s Classique and Alexandros of Antioch’s Venus de Milo sculpture had a baby. #KKWBODY

As someone who doesnt mind Kim K at all – i’m actually vvv annoyed that shes acting like shes the first bitch to do a body mold for a perfume bottle. Jean Paul Gaultier is CACKLING.

And, Jean Paul Gaultier (or, whoever runs their social media accounts) decided to throw a little shade at Kim, as well.
Kim, however, denies stealing the idea from Gaultier at all. She told Cosmopolitan.com:
“Sculptures were my inspiration, but I love that bottle. It’s iconic and celebrates the woman’s body, but my inspiration was a statue. I wanted [mine] to be really personal with my exact mold, but I’ve always loved the Gaultier bottles.”
So–I guess inspiration isn’t exactly stealing–according to Kim.
