Unsettling Conversation Between President Trump And Campaign Director Emerges Online

A new book is being released by Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Corey  R. Lewandowski and his former deputy campaign manager David Bossie. In the book the pair reveal some interesting insight to the current presents campaign. They touch on strange odd jobs that Hope Hicks has that go along with her White House communication directors job title. The books is filled with some pretty strange quotes from close staffers and the president himself. Bessie and Lewandowski had a fair share to say about the current president and his staff.

“that mostly didn’t know the difference between a caucus and a cactus”

The article goes on to do Hicks or any of the people really working under Trump any favors “Hope had so little knowledge of politics [before the campaign] that when Corey told her had worked for the Kochs she asked if he knew Danny Masters, ‘he’s worked for Coke for a while,’” Hope said, apparently Hope Hicks was a bit confused about the difference between Kochs and Coke, Lewandowski and Bossie wrote. I mean I’m sure that could be a classic mix up, but come on!

The book gives and inside look at the group that ended up somehow winning the presidential election. Or the group of ‘misfit toys’ that helped Donald Trump become the leader of the United States of America. I hate typing that sentence. It gives a good insight on the strange man Trump is. It touches on his screaming tantrums and his junk food addiction. My mom always did say if I’d eat too much junk food I’d turn into it.

It gives a nice insight on the dynamic of this seeming dysfunctional team that somehow managed to win the presidential race. The two authors also go on to give a nice look into the life of Hope Hicks.  Hicks was a rep for a large New York public relations firm and eventually went on to work with Ivanka Trump on her line of fashion and accessories. According to Lewandowski and Bossie, Hicks is “smart and private, with nearly a photographic memory.” Trump didn’t necessarily offer the job to Hicks, she was more demanded to fill the position.

Hicks own mother, Caye Cavender Hicks, spoke with the New York Times about the whole situation of her daughters hiring.

“Mr. Trump sat her down and said, ‘This is your new job, It was a shocker.”

The book continues to surprise you with some pretty wild details of the presidents team. According to the book, Hicks was the one who would steam Trump’s clothes before big time events. How many White House communications directors did the presidents laundry? Don’t worry it gets stranger, she would steam his clothes while he was wearing them… He has to be some form of alien. Do people actually do that?

“‘Get the machine!’ [Trump would] yell. And Hope would take out the steamer and start steaming Mr. Trump’s suit, while he was wearing it!”

She must be a grade A steamer because after the dust settled she remained a part of Trump’s team while Lewandowski was fired by the President in June of 2016.

Even though the two no longer worked together, Trump decided to give his ex-campaign manager a call. It was after he had won the election. He called to take a trip down memory lane. Trump would go on to ask if they could believe he had actually won before another strange conversation which seem to be one of the president’s trademarks.

“When we started this thing, it was you and me, and an airplane. That’s all we had.”

“And we had Hope,” [Lewandowski] added, referring to Hicks, the campaign’s first communications staffer.

“She had about as much experience as a coffee cup,” [Trump said, according to the book].

“But she’s good-looking,” [Lewandowski] said.

“That always helps,” [Trump] said.

While the campaign was raging the New York Times actually did an interview with Trump in regards to his 27-year-old communications director.

“I’m lucky to have her, She’s got very good judgment. She will often give advice, and she’ll do it in a very low-key manner, so it doesn’t necessarily come in the form of advice. But it’s delivered very nicely.”

Wouldn’t want to take advice from a woman?

God forbid he had a woman give him advice in a high key fashion. He praised her for many things including her great judgement. I think I’m going to have to check out ‘Let Trump Be Trump’ to get a better look at this strange team dynamic.
